No, it can't be seen from space

It is repeated a thousand times that the Great Wall of China is the only man-made structure visible from space. It's false.

With the naked eye, from Earth orbit, the wall cannot be made out: it is very long, yes, but far too narrow and the same colour as the terrain around it. Several astronauts have confirmed this.

Myths are inherited too, repeated until they seem true. That is why it is worth asking where each "fact" came from.
