Venus turns on its axis so slowly that it takes longer to complete one rotation than to travel all the way round its orbit about the Sun.
A day on Venus (one full rotation) is equivalent to about 243 Earth days. Its year (one trip round the Sun) lasts only 225. The result: on Venus, the day is longer than the year.
And there is another oddity: Venus spins the opposite way to almost every other planet, so there the Sun would rise in the west and set in the east. A world where time, and even daybreak, work the other way round from here.
