Poem · From the Margen catalogue

At belt 4 everyone lifts the same suitcase

You come down to belt 4 off the half past eleven flight and there are already fourteen people watching the same rubber hole.

A black suitcase comes out. Three hands move forward. Two go back into pockets.

The man on the belt, orange vest, keeps turning the handles outwards so nobody has to bend down twice.

Yours comes out, black, with the red ribbon you tied on for exactly this. You lift it. And you turn the tag over, same as the other thirteen.
