Poem · From the Margen catalogue

At the drive-thru off the highway at three thirty

You have also been through the drive-thru off the highway at three thirty. Neus, first shift, has asked you if you are the usual one. Three cars behind, engine still on, like horses with their heads bowed. Neus caps the cups, wishes you good night at this hour. Just this: six warm hands, three coffees, and the guard in the CCTV room who is not going to look either.
