On Venus, a day lasts longer than a whole year. It sounds like wordplay, but it's real.
Venus spins on its axis so slowly that it takes about 243 Earth days to complete a single rotation. Its trip around the Sun, on the other hand, lasts about 225 Earth days. In other words: the planet finishes its year before it finishes its day.
As if that weren't enough, Venus spins the opposite way to almost every other planet: there the Sun would rise in the west and set in the east. A world where time, quite literally, marches to a different beat.
