Rosalía appeals the game and Higinio opens the rulebook

"I'm appealing the game, Higinio."
"Rosalía, it's half past eleven."
"And at twenty-five past, Fermín knocked twice on the table before playing the double six. Article fourteen."
"Article fourteen is about signalling."
"Two knocks are a signal."
"Two knocks are arthritis."
"Open it."
"I am opening it. Here: 'Once signalling is confirmed, the game is annulled and replayed with the same pairs on the first available date'."
"Perfect."
"Saturday."
"Perfect."
"With the same pairs, Rosalía. You've been cutting hair in this village for forty years and you've never appealed anything, so listen carefully: the same pairs."
"I heard you."
"Baldomero is in Salamanca on Saturday. Cataract surgery."
"Right."
"And the reserve on the list is Cheli. From the bar."
"Higinio."
"Yes."
"How does one withdraw an appeal?"
"You withdraw it by saying 'I withdraw the appeal' in front of the referee and the opposing party."
"I withdraw the appeal."
"For the record, I play very well."
"Cheli, you just close up."
